Having come into possession of an old GoPro camera (the second iteration of now 16 or more) I realized it could go where I might find it... uncomfortable shall we say. I realized it could be coupled to my cell phone for both remote shutter release and viewfinder function (gotta love the modern world, no?) and I could gain unusual perspectives.
My garden is the focus of much of my summer attention. I thought about the nest of baby bunnies that managed to be born under my bean plants one year; a resourceful mother found a perfect spot, fenced (protected) and flush with food. By the time I discovered them they were already eyes open, and, although still reliant on mommy, were beginning to fend for themselves. Alright, how much could they eat anyway? They stayed a couple of weeks and were gone.
Attaching the camera to the end of my hiking stick and probing under the beans, cucumbers and tomatoes, the bunny's perspective came into view, even the wide angle prey's eye view of the world. It was kind of like robotic surgery, probing under the plants while looking at the phone screen, whoa...
